First Million
So, I was at Publix this weekend buying groceries, and I noticed one of the cashiers looking sparkly. I say sparkly because she had crystal hairpins in her hair and glittering earrings. I told her she looked festive. She said she had just come from a graduation, and how several students in her family had graduated this year. She even had a nephew who graduated from Morehouse College.
Yes, that’s right! Her nephew is one of the fortunate students who will have his student loans paid off by Robert F. Smith. Smith is a billionaire who pledged to pay off an estimated $40 million in college loans for the graduating class of 2019 at Morehouse College giving 396 young men a chance at a clean financial slate instead of crippling debt, which can last for years.
As she recounted her experience, she said they didn't initially make the connection to what Mr. Smith said. I can only imagine that it was one of those moments where you might say, “Did he just say what I think he said?”
I've always had this dream that someone would walk up to me one day, and all my debts would magically disappear. It sounds like a long-shot, but what's the point of dreaming, if you're going to be realistic. Goals for the Mind
This leads me to my latest goal of making my first million. I’ve always wanted to be a millionaire, frankly a billionaire, and lately that feeling has gotten stronger and stronger. So, today, I sat down and officially wrote down four goals.
Now that I have set my goals and developed the first part of my plan, I feel excited and inspired. I trust that the resources I need will spring forward in ways that I had not thought possible because my mind will conceive it. New ideas breed more new ideas, so now it's time to think, plan, and allow space for space to work. Plus, I also have a mentor who is a sales genius and one of my biggest supporters. My job is to dream BIG. The Universe's job is to provide the resources and "how-to" knowledge and skills to make my dream come true. A Dark Night of the Soul
This video is for anyone who is in the midst of a transition, and you feel conflicted about your identity. You aren't exactly who you were before, but you aren't sure who you are becoming. This in-between stage is called A Dark Night of the Soul.
